Tired...

Tuesday! Even YouTube is tired...It is taking for EVER to post videos!

We have had a couple of great days back!

Writer's and Workshop:
We are listening to poetry.  What are we listening for???

  • Rhythm
  • Rhyme
  • emotions (show don't tell)
  • Vocabulary
All of the above were pup generated!  I'm pretty impressed. Next week we will start focusing on writing our own poetry. Some pups have started giving poetry writing a try during writer's workshop!

Reader's Workshop:
This week our focus is back on the author's purpose and making connections.  During reader's workshop the pups can pick their own reading material. When they are responding, I have asked that they record the author's purpose and a connection if they have one.

Math:
We are working diligently on problem solving. The problems are NOT easy and I am continually impressed by how some of the little ones are able to not only solve them but teach us all how they solved it! I have two videos I'm trying to get on youtube so that I can post them for you to see...unfortunately they are taking FOREVER! I'm still waiting on video 1 to post...so...as they do I will add them to the blog!

TOP DOG:
Today we heard all about dinosaurs!  When the videos post I will be sure to add it as well!

Enjoy your evening!

Monday...

We celebrated this pup's birthday on Monday.  She actually turned 7 over the break!  Doesn't she look great for 70! :)

Spring Break...

Review!  I sure hope everyone had a great spring break.  All the pups had something to share about their week!

I had a wonderful time sharing my bubba's first time at Disney World Experience!

We left at 2:00 am, on Saturday.  We arrived at the Art of Animation (one of the newer Disney Resorts) at about 5:00 am Sunday.  We stayed in the Cars section! Hank was pretty excited to be there!

We unpacked and headed straight to The Animal Kingdom.  Hank and I rode the Dinosaur ride several times while the others rode a roller coaster that we were not "brave or big" enough to ride!

We headed "home" for nap time each day between 12-2.  Then headed back to parks in the evening!

Goofy was DEFINITELY our favorite character!

Yes, Jack is wearing the SAME jacket in every photo...the weather was beautiful the entire time we were there...but it was just chilly enough to have to wear long sleeves MOST of the time and this was the only thing his MOM packed!

Hollywood studios...Hank and I were left to roam while everyone headed to another roller coaster that we couldn't ride!!! However...

the Tower of Terror quickly became one of our favorites!

Magic Kingdom...

Hank WON the Piston Cup...WELL...maybe not but don't tell him!
We found Goofy in every park!
Dumbo was really a flying elephant!

After a long day at the park we noticed that Magic Kingdom was open until 1:00am!!! So what did we do??? Jack and I headed back out and found ourselves in line for Space Mountain at 12:00am!

We spent one of our meals at the Coral Reef...we were up close and personal with all kinds of ocean animals...(I think this would be a great field trip for our ocean unit!)

We also headed to The Hoop DEE DOO Review one night!  The boys loved it!!

We arrived back in Texas about 11:00 am on Saturday Morning.  I went home to unpack. When I returned to "Gramma's House" This is what I found in the middle of the floor! I think he was WORN OUT!
On Sunday, we celebrated my Sister's (3-14), Hank's (3-15) and Gramma's (3-16) birthday! Busy Busy Busy week but wouldn't have changed a THING!

Wowzers!

Spring Break!  I hope everyone has a wonderful, enjoyable week with MY PUPS!  I will definitely be missing them while I am enjoying the Happiest Place on Earth...

This will not be my first time but...experiencing it with my Bubbas will be PRICELESS! I would love to see pictures of the pups on Spring Break and PLEASE encourage them to write about their experiences on the Puppy Blog!

OPEN HOUSE:
Final preparations...

THANK YOU...
all for coming to Open House and being such good learners. Your little pups were so excited to "teach" you all they have been learning about!  They have been talking about it all morning!

Last week Claire was recognized for her PTA DISTRICT REFLECTIONS award!
