We talked about giving thanks today...We then each wrote about one of our classroom friends. I cannot tell you how much I LOVE my little dragons. Not only is their writing improving but they have such nice things to say about one another! You all should be VERY proud. Your child will bring home a turkey with what their friend wrote about them...(probably next week)! However, I will definitely try to get them hung up in the hall...so if you happen to come for the book fair or for Thanksgiving lunch be sure to check them out!

Speaking of giving thanks...I can't believe in one short week we will be on break. My mom, the two boys and I will drive to Minnesota so that the boys can spend some time with their Minnesota Grandma. My mom and I will meet my youngest sister in Minneapolis for some "girl" time. I am so thankful for my wonderful family...Including my Robertson Family! Thank you all for making this a wonderful year!
TONS of book fair information came home in your child's Thursday folder!
If for some reason it did not get to you Mrs. Towle has supplied us with the following link. It should clear up all questions!

Miss Guy's Dragons will be going to the book fair to complete our wishlist tomorrow at 10:00 (note the time change). If you are available please join us in the library at 10:00 to help the children fill out their lists!
Please send in money to BUY on Tuesday, Nov. 17th.

Leap Year?

Yesterday the topic of leap year came up at calendar time. Of course one of our little dragons was very curious...SO...I started to explain what it was and how it worked. In the middle of the conversation I started to think, "what if I'm not explaining this right?"! So, I decided to turn it around and assign it for a trip to the treasure box homework!!! Ethan explained to us today that Leap Year is a day added to February and it's only once every 4 years. He also told us that when his uncle was on a mission he had a friend that turned 5!!!

Thanks to Ethan for doing that research!!
