Back to Friday...

What a great day we had.Our morning started out pretty "normal"...(whatever that is especially in a 1st grade class room!)We took our spelling test, went to computer lab...and I guess that is where the "normal" ended! We all logged into istation (and since it was the first time we've logged in this month...it was ASSESSMENT day.) After everyone's "green assessment bar" was gone we gathered on the carpet to log into A Blog For The Puppies: Snoopin' Around.  Parents be sure to check your child's blog and comment on their posts. After computer it was recess time...not ANY OLE recess time BUT PTA CARNIVAL RECESS TIME! Room 313 was the only 1st grade classroom to reach 100% membership...Way to go!

We had so many pictures I thought it would be best just to post them slide show style! Thanks to all the moms, from our class and from the PTA who were here to help us enjoy this wonderful recess...Mrs. Snow, Mrs. Sheppard, Mrs. Dollgener (all from 313), Mrs. Keys, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Stimac!


 Since it was the first Friday of October...and we had Robertson Round Up we went to specials RIGHT after lunch! We go to Art on Fridays. Mrs. Knott is using an electronic behavior system...The pups seem to like it very much...we had 100% GREAT behavior! Makes a teacher proud!


 After specials it was time to go ahead and pack up for the day because we would not have another extra minute to get that done! At 12:30, Mrs. Weiler came in and we talked about different kinds of tools that made cutting fruit easier. Mrs. Weiler brought in one that was used for pineapples! We all LOVED it!

Everyone (well...almost everyone) was a FRUIT eater.  We pretty much ate it ALL UP...Apples, Cantaloupe, Watermelon and Pineapple.  I think the Pineapple was a favorite (and the JUICIEST)!

After eating up all the fruit we heading down to pod 3 for some Book Buddy time. And from there it was Robertson Round Up.  The first Friday of each month the WHOLE school gathers to recognize the accomplishments of our students!

 This month we recognized students who showed courage and integrity (doing what is right even if it's hard).  This month we had two HIPPEST IN THE HOUSE...
