Like I said yesterday... A LOT of FIRSTS today!
8:00 and we headed to the library..."Do we get to check out books? Yes! YAAAAYYY!" But first Mrs. Biamonte read a story about how NOT to take care of books. Let's not have them at the breakfast table. Some raspberry jam might get spilled on it! Let's not take them in the bathroom...they might fall into the bathtub or get some toothpaste on them! Let's not let our little brother's and sister get their hands on them...they might color in them or even RIP them!
At 8:45 we had some "free" time. Ms. Moore read a very special book about Grandparent's Day. And then we made special cards for those special people in our lives!
Hooray For Grandparents Day!

Ms. Moore helped us paint our hands
Mayson was practicing making his heart!
Our finished products!
Sweet little hands!
At 9:30 we headed to the computer pod to take our first istation assessment...GUESS what? We needed that id number AGAIN! (This time I had cards ready to go in their head phone bags with id number and password). We got logged in and got started!
Wow! Look at those learners!
10:20 came fast and it was time for recess and lunch...and we couldn't WAIT til lunch...We had visitors GALORE! Look at these special people!
12:20 we came back into the classroom read some Ready Freddy and used the bathroom...We still had some time so we used our names to compare! We will continue to work on this and maybe even do some graphing next week! Before we knew it. It was almost 1:15 and we needed to be in Pod 3 (Mrs. Cizdziel's room) for book buddies! So we quickly got packed up (with our library book and our grandparent's card safely tucked away in our backpacks), had a QUICK bite of our snack and made our way to the other end of the building!
We met our 4th grade book buddies spread out and had sometime to get to know one another! We will look forward to this time each week!
Birthday pencils were given out to those that had birthdays in August and to those that will have birthdays in September. Then our HIPPEST IN THE HOUSE was recognized for RESPONSIBILITY (know what needs to be done and GETTING IT DONE)!
Congratulations to our "Responsible" Eliette!
AND...with that...I'm DONE FOR THE DAY! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and again...I thank you for sharing your sweet pup with me!
