We observed that the caterpillars have gotten a lot bigger and are much more active! (I'm afraid they are going to go into their chrysalis' over the weekend :(...
We have been working on our personal narratives in Writer's Workshop...
"I had a grate 6th birthday with my Bff claire. On August 11th claire came with a present to my house. 1st we made little hats for are amrican girl dolls and are salvs. We used coulerd papper and cotten balls. After that we lookt at my birthday cake. it was a birthday cake with a barbie on top! It was an amazing birthday. I can't wate for my next birthday!"
"One day on March 2013 I fell down on a sment bastball crt. I fell down cus some 1st grader pusht me down. when I fell down Seth came runing ovre. Frst he askt if I was ok. then he helped me up. I'm glad I have a friend like Seth."
"I had an awesome birthday Saturday July 28 2012. All of my friends came, Demie, Ena,
Brooklyn, Evie, Liv, Ava, Anna, Camel, Jaylee and Jane. All so my sister Sadie was there. My sister and I had on pink and purple tutus, hats and pink cowgirl boots. We all so had fake guns with bulets. it was a cowgirl birthday party. For disert we had twinkey dipped in chocolate and sperinkels. We all so enjoyed pink lemonade. When the party was over I felt so happy."
"Have you ever had a birthday at a carnival? First we playd games like ball tose, and bean throw. Next we had icecream cake. It had fineyis and ferb decteratshons. Last we did presents. I got presents like star wars legos, and power rangers acton fger. I can't wate untuil next year."

"My best friend Ena hlep me. We have ballet at Beth Humphey's house. She go to my church. I did not have any ballet shoes. Ena shard one off he pairs off ballet shoes. I felt happy inside and outside. I play with her everyday."
"One day I had a play date with one of my best friend ever. his name is hwan carloas. Right before he going to leave my mom said, you have to clean up evry thing." There wore so many toys on the flore I didn't know what to do! But luckily my friend hwan carloas said "I'll help you". So we got to work and that was that. And that was the story!"

In some ways, we are
the same.
All of us have hearts
that beat.
All have favorite
things to eat.
Some like ice cream
as a special treat.
We all look different
on the outside.
But inside, we all
want the same thing.
We want the freedom
to sing.
To laugh, to love and
to dream.
You don’t look like
me.
And I don’t look like
you.
But on the inside
that’s not true.
We all get scared,
excited and blue.
When you see someone
who is not like you
Stop and think what’s
best to do.
Think about how
others feel.
And you’ll know the
differences aren’t that real.
