It just doesn't seem POSSIBLE that it is conference time already!  On one hand I am so attached to this class...love them to death and feel like we have been together forever and on the other hand it seems like we just started the year!  I have seen so much progress already and am just loving seeing and hearing your little ones learn! 
I thought I would let you in on lunch time today!  After running around outside we get to come in wind down and enjoy our lunch before heading back to class for more learning time!

During math time today...I must tell about some thinking I heard!  Everyone was working in their problem solving journal and I just like to walk around to see, "and hear", what their thought process is!  A lot of times I don't hear a lot but today was a GREAT DAY for eaves dropping!

Molly and Polly are twins.  They have the same number of toys.  If they each have 6 toys, how many do they have in all?

"OOHHH OOOHHH it's a DOUBLE" said Gracie!  "hmmm, I think I'm going to need two tens frames." said Emily!  When I questioned Emily further and asked her to explain her thinking to the class she said, "Well, I thought it was going to be a big number because I know 5+5 is 10 and we are adding 6+6 so the sum was going to be more than 10!" I LOVE it!!!
