Each child (in 1st grade) will need one empty, clean, “clear”, 2 liter bottle the week of May 2!  Please start saving and sending in!

Boosterthon was here today for the FIRST collection!  Not only that but we ALSO got to "pie" Cowboy Cameron in the face! (poor guy 14 classes worth of SHAVING cream...what a TROOPER)

Parents were here counting early this morning and were STILL here after NOON! MUST be a LOT of money coming in! YIPPPEEE we are still a few 100.00 short of our pledged goal!  So...hopefully it will all come in by the next collection date APRIL 29th and we can start planning that PAJAMA PARTY!

We did such an AWESOME job raising money for Robertson Elementary…now comes the hard part…COLLECTION. On Friday, I sent home an envelope and a letter from Boosterthon listing all of your child’s pledges. The money is due on April 21st…There are two ways your pledges can pay. Log on to your child’s page using the access code and put in credit card information or they can write a check to Robertson PTA.

The class is excited to start reaping the rewards from all of these donations so DON’T wait! Once we get our pledges in we can start planning our PAJAMA PARTY!
Today, I saw Frog and Toad for the FIRST time. I can’t wait to see it all polished and ready to perform! SO CUTE! If your child has a speaking part he/she needs to PRACTICE. My friends were talking so fast we couldn’t understand what they were saying!
GIRLS…if you haven’t sent in a red, yellow or orange shirt for ladybug spots please do so ASAP…I will send them  home and the girls will come dressed in black on the bottom (leggins, skirt, tights/tutus...) We will have antennae for you that night!
BOYS...you will come dressed on Thursday night from head to toe in Grey, Black or Brown! We will have ears for you!
Field trip!!! HOW EXCITING…first grade has not been on a field trip to any place other than Safety Town in SEVERAL years. Please fill out the permission slip and send it back in with 9.00 cash! I will write a receipt and send that home when I receive the money! We will need 5 parents to go with us! PLEASE let me know if you will be able to join us. It is May 27th (a WEATHER MAKE-UP day)!!! Looking forward to a fun day at the Heard Museum!
Relay for Life! I will be walking in the Frisco Relay for Life again this year! If any of YOU would like to join our ROBERTSON ROCKS team please let me know and I can tell you what you need to do! WE have SO much fun and would enjoy having all of you there supporting this cause! We have all been touched somehow by the C word!!! And it STINKS! http://main.acsevents.org/site/TRfr_id=32391&pg=entry The link! Search for Robertson Rocks or if you would like to just donate please search for Christine Guy and donate…I am 50.00 short of my 200.00 goal this year!

You can also participate by sending in a donation in memory of or in honor of someone…HOT PINK paper sent home in Thursday Folders!
Thank you so much for everything you do! The end of the year is coming to a close QUICKER than I would like…

As much as I would like to upload pictures about what boosterthon.com is all about I can't...I get  a "server rejected" message. Not sure what that is about hopefully someone "technology smart" will be able to figure it out for me. I get so frustrated! I'm sorry!
Anyway!!! Today we had a BOOSTERTHON PEP RALLY! I think everyone left excited...None of us are sure the kidss quite know what they are excited about!
Please click on the link, log in using the access code on your child's pledge card!  And start raising money! WOO HOO
This is the BIG Robertson fund raiser this year...Let's make it AMAZING!
A couple of things: 1. 10% of what our class raises come DIRECTLY back to our classroom! 1000.00 means we will be spending 100.00 on our class!
2.  If the school gets donations from all 50 states then Mr. I will dress up as Justin Beiber (how funny)! So, start calling friends and relatives all over the world! :)
!TOGETHER WE CAN!
show your ROBERTSON support

Sunday, April 3, 2011

Well...
I had good intentions of updating our butterfly progress with some pictures and video...However, I keep getting a "server rejected" message. AND since I have no idea what that means or why it is happening TODAY...Blogging is pretty much come to a stand still here at school! I'm so sorry I cannot share with you some very cool stuff!

A reminder...
April 4-5 are NO VISITOR days here at Robertson Elementary. You may come get as far as the office if you need to drop off or pick up your child for some reason on these days.  4th and 5th graders will be TAKS TESTING!
