Weather Permitting
K-2 Robertson Elementary Field Day
Mr. I says the weather forecast is calling for some rain on Friday! (keep your fingers crossed this is wrong)
He has said he will make a decision on going ahead with field day or postponing it until May 21st on Thursday.
  • tennis shoes
  • shorts/comfortable clothing
  • sunscreen/visor or hat
  • TWO water bottles

I will let you know what is happening as soon as I know!

Well, today I was back in the classroom FULL time. Hands on teaching! And I LOVED it...We had an excellent day!!! We came in and got a lot of work done this morning. I am so impressed at the independence of this class. I was able to be at the reading table and everyone was able to work on things that needed to get done. At 10:00 Mrs. O'Hearn came in to talk about how we have changed since the beginning of the school year. As I listened in...I heard a lot about physical changes but then after the kids went back to their seats and started their puzzle I started to hear a lot more about their academic, social and emotional changes! It's amazing what a little reflection time can do for everyone!

Relay For Life

Cancer Stinks...some people have to live with it...Stay up all night is the LEAST I can do...
So, Friday morning rolls around...I pop out of bed at 4:30ish (pretty normal) get to school everything is going great...3:00 ALREADY!? Time to put the kids in their cars and go home for a few hours. NOPE talked into going to memorial to set up for Relay for life. Got the tents put up, put out some tables and chairs everything looks good we're ready to go. NOW I can go home and rest for a bit! Well, for some reason that was impossible...I tried to lay down and relax but nothing worked so at 6:3o I decided to head back over to Memorial Stadium! AARRRGGGHHH no parking. Finally, found a spot. Let the fun begin! And fun it was. However, as you can see by the photos...Miss Guy is the oldest participant in our group...So the later it got the more ready I was to go home and crawl into bed. Finally, at about 4:30 (yes, am...24 hours later) we decided to break down our camp. It was a GREAT night and all for a GREAT CAUSE! Please think about joining us next year...We had several families that came and walked for hour long shifts earlier in the night!
