Multicultural Day

TERRARIUMS

Step 1: Cover the bottom of your bottle with pebbles.

Step 2: Cover the pebbles with soil.

Step 3: Put seeds on the soil and cover with more soil. 

Water the soil. 

Step 4: Put top of bottle back on and put in the sun.

UH OH...it's beginning to rain INSIDE our bottle!

It's that time of year! We are starting to look for all missing books! Please look for library books as well as any guided reading books that may not have been turned in!!  

Today was the last day to check books out of the library...PLEASE make sure all books are back in school this FRIDAY! 

Field day shirts are in and I will pass them out first thing Friday morning! Please make sure your little one has on comfortable "bottoms" (shorts or pants), sunscreen and tennis shoes. They will also need a bottle of water to carry around with them from station to station! I hear there is a cold front coming through...only high of 70's and we are first thing in the morning!!!

Thank you for all of the special "treats" today! The flowers are so pretty!

Extreme SUPER Moon

Hurry and pass!  Today was a crazy day in room 406! Not many more days of school…I hope we can make them fun days!  This week we wrote a GREAT class story The Three Little Crabs and The Great White Shark.  Wait until you hear it! We also made more and less than monsters!  Today we put them to work!  I think we still need a bit more practice but we are getting there!

Next week we have a lot going on…Thursday is Multicultural Day (am for K-2) and Friday is Field Day (am for K-2). Friday night is Relay For Life…there is still time for any of you to join Robertson Rocks! We’d love to have you out there walking with us!

Commotion in the Ocean

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

It's a birthday week in room 406! Two today and one more tomorrow!! I cannot believe almost all my little pups are 7 now!

Happy happy birthday sweet pups! Miss  Guy LOVES you!

Thursday 1st grade program!

Students should be in the gym at 6:45p.m. sitting in their teacher's line.  Parents should wait in the cafeteria.  Students that are not wearing costumes should come dressed in all blue, green or coral/pink to fit with our ocean theme.  Also, please remember that if you did turn in a form to dress as a sea creature, costumes are not being provided.  There is no PTA meeting, so the program will begin at 7:00p.m. After the program, the students will be escorted back to the gym.  Once all of the kids have returned to the gym, please have ONE parent or guardian come to the gym to pick up their child.  They only need to make sure the teacher sees them before taking them from the gym.

Environmental Week

Ewwww! Look what happens to our oceans! Chemicals, oil, fertilizers, litter, and road salts all make their way there! Our poor ocean animals...let's work to keep their home a safe and clean one!

Our Environment

We started our environmental week today! Today was all about what we could do to help our school environment...oh and what FUN was had picking up all that YUCKY YUCKY LITTER! We love helping to keep our school environment CLEAN!

Hawaiian Week

We took full advantage of bring a beach towel to school! And in honor of the BOOK FAIR...we had our read aloud time outside! It was beautiful out!
