What a Fabulous Day!
(FYI Blogger is NOT being cooperative right now! I am speaking very sternly to it!)
I must say that I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed your pups! This is my last post as this week will be my last in Ms. Guy's class. This week is time for the pups to get in the hang of not having Miss Moore around!
This morning we "reverse mapped" sentences! Go ahead and ask your pup about his or her sentence map and see if they can tell you what the subject of that sentence is! (I promise they can!) The pups wrote this morning primarily about what they did over the weekend, every one of them seemed to have gone somewhere or done something awesome. One pup even fed a giraffe by hand...! (Can you say 'totally jealous?!')
Afterwards, we talked about communities and what a "community" meant to the pups; thoughts were all written down and they were adorable! They are also working on making connections to the text that they read.
Savannah is our Top Dog this week and so she explained her poster to us this morning.
Owen said 'there is a rollercoaster' and another pup chimed in with 'you can eat picnic on a stick!' YES YOU CAN! (Miss Moore had a picnic on a stick yesterday; I highly recommend it!)
In science we explored with MAGNETS! Oh the excitement! If I had a camera I would have videoed it, I however still employ a dinosaur phone with no brains and didn't have Miss Guy's camera...but I have pictures!!!
Whilst exploring, the pups made a T-chart of what was magnetic compared to what was not magnetic based on their observations. They did great work!
Great work! As aforementioned, my phone is not very smart at all, so I took a picture of our wonderful weatherman Miles!
"Today was cloudy, cool, and windy; a perfect day for going to your friend's house because it is too cold to play outside!"
We also had birthday treats from Arabella, (thank you Arabella!) The pups enjoyed their treat after P.E. and here is a picture of our birthday girl:

We talked about schema as well. Schema is the background knowledge we have about a topic so we wrote down at least one thing we knew already about the State Fair.

With that I leave you. Miss Guy will be back tomorrow, and I will observe in different classes and enjoy my last week with the best pups! Thank you for allowing me this FABULOUS opportunity! Have a great rest of the day!
